Mordechai (Navid) Askarinam and Sara (Dana) Lulvi married in 2019. 

Residing in Los Angeles, they had one child before separating in 2024. 

Since their separation, Mordechai has refused to grant Sara a get, leaving her an agunah -- a chained woman.

 

Get-refusal is a form of domestic abuse.

 

The Rabbinical Council of California (RCC) issued a psak (ruling) stating that Mordechai is sarvan l'din (recalcitrant to submit to Beit Din) for refusing to appear for adjudication of the get.

 

The Superior Court of California has also issued a Domestic Violence Restraining Order (DVRO) against Mordechai, in protection of Sara and their child.

 

Please help us convince Mordechai to grant Sara a get!
