Mardoche Cohen has been married to his wife, Valerie, since 1997.

 

They have been separated for five years, since 2018, and Mardoche is still refusing to give Valerie a get, leaving her an agunah.

A seruv (order of contempt) was issued against Mardoche from the Rabbinical Council of California.
